In a goodwill message, Governor Eno described the celebrant as “a great gift to Akwa Ibom State”, applauding her contribution to placing the state on the global map through gospel music.

“At 60, you are just starting. We used to say life begins at 40, but today, you are proof that life begins at 60. When Pastor Aity gets on stage, you can’t ignore her. That kind of energy can only come from God,” the Governor said, urging citizens to pursue their callings with diligence and excellence.

In an emotional tribute, her husband, Dr. Dennis Inyang, said the decision to host the celebration in Uyo was symbolic of returning to their roots. “We are missionaries in Lagos, but Akwa Ibom is home. Aity is not just a gospel artist, she is a cultural and musical ambassador of this state,” he said.Dr. Inyang acknowledged individuals who have supported her journey, including:

Governor Umo Eno, for consistently inviting Aity to minister in his church before his tenure as governor. Adede Aniekpeno Mkpanang, for adopting Aity as his artiste and using her hit song “Final Thank You” as a theme for his long-running radio show “Something to Remember.”

Elder Peter Godsday Orubebe, former Minister of the Niger Delta, for significant contributions to her ministry and many others. The event also featured the unveiling of two new projects: a commemorative book containing tributes from 46 contributors, and a new CD titled “Rainbow,” which the singer described as “a song of hope that reminds people that after the pain comes the party.” Aity Dennis, visibly moved, thanked God and appreciated those who had stood by her throughout her music career.

“It’s been a journey of grace. I encourage every creative out there, stay true to your calling, even when it’s tough. Your time will come,” she said.

The celebration featured worship, music, and tributes from across the Christian community and was attended by several dignitaries and clergy, including Pastor Sylvanus Ukafia, Prelate Prof. Isaiah Issong, Primate Emmanuel Udofia and others.

As Aity Dennis stands on the “sixth floor,” her story is far from over. If anything, it’s just beginning and the world is still listening.
