AS NIGERIA’S AMAZING AMAZON NGOZI OKONJO-IWEALA WINS THE WTO
Nigeria has been flooded for a long time now by many bad happenings. From the global headlines to the board rooms of many governments, businesses and gossips shops, Nigeria was the topic of analysis and fear for her notoriety for all form of ills.
And for a long time, we have not had any good news on Nigeria trending for hours, let alone days. The news channels have always been overflooded with bad news. Nigeria, to many news editors, is bad news!
The sustained terrorists attacks, religious and inter-tribal wars, armed banditry, herdsmen rampage, violence, unabated waste of human lives, monumental corruption in government, leadership ineptitude, poverty, diseases, Hushpuppisms and impunity of all shades in high places have given local and global newsmen delirious dishes to feast on.
But for once, Nigeria is witnessing outbreak of goodnews; courtesy of nomination and eventual successful screening of the Nigeria’s amazing Amazon, Nkozi Okonjo-Iweala today for the World Trade Organization (WTO) top job.
Okonjo-Iweala is the epitome of few good and hardworking Nigerians who are striving daily, against the bad picture of a failed nation-state, to make a mark for themselves and the good of all Nigerians. She represents the future Nigeria is earnestly craving for.
For years, whether serving in the country or outside, Okonjo-Iweala has proven to be a true portrayal of success by dint of hardwork, synergy and transparency. Well-meaning Nigerians with no biases for religion, ethnicity, tribe and pecuniary interest, must rise and lift her up in prayers and supplications for the crowning of this selfless queen of Africa to lead the WTO.
With Okonjo-Iweala at WTO, hope for Nigeria’s greatness will have brightened, and the dross and dungs of bad leadership, stench of corruption and mindless bloodletting, will have been swept away into the valleys of forgotteness.
Hope beckons with this Amazon! Congratulations our Amazon for representing a good picture of our dream of who a Nigerian truly is!
She’s an individual from Ala Igbo (Biafra nation) If it was Nigeria sectionalism and tribalism wouldn’t have been allowed her the access. Let’s tell our self the simple truth.
Ada you have reached You have seen and you have conquered.
Congratulations
