GOV UMO ENO LAUDS ICHULO’S DEDICATED LIFE OF SERVICE AS THE CLERGYMAN LAUNCHES BOOK IN HONOUR OF LATE FIRST LADY

The Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, PhD has commended Rev. Ichulo Ichulo of the Assemblies of God Church, Eket, for his life of dedication to the kingdom and humanity.

The Governor who made this remark during the retirement Thanksgiving Service of the clergyman, stated Revd Ichulo in his thirty-eight years in the ministry has demonstrated a strong sense of consistency, dedication and focus.

“I want to commend Rev’d Ichulo Ichulo for his dedication, consistency and focus on the call of God upon his life. Service in the kingdom can sometimes be very challenging, and not all are able to stay on to these numbers of years,” the Governor said.

Speaking through his representative, the Honourable Special Adviser on Religious Matters, Revd. Dr. Ndueso Ekwere, the Governor who also thanked the leadership of the Assemblies of God Church for their support to his administration, praised Rev’d Ichulo for his foresight in authoring a book in memory of his departed wife, Pastor Patience Eno.

The Governor, however, prayed God to grant the author guidance, good health and more blessings in his retirement, as he takes on the role of mentoring younger ministers and continue to impact humanity and the kingdom with his wealth of knowledge and gifts of God in his life.

In his remarks, the celebrator, Rev’d Ichulo Ichulo, expressed profound gratitude to the Governor for his magnanimity in attending the occasion, and for also appointing him into the Akwa Ibom State Christian Leadership Advisory Council (AKSCLAC).

Describing the Governor as a God-sent leader for massive development and transformation of the State, he said: “I am so overwhelmed by the presence of His Excellency, Governor Umo Eno at this service; it is a great honour that I cherish so much. Let me specially express my gratitude to the Governor for my appointment as a member of the prestigious Christian elders’ forum, Akwa Ibom State Christian Leadership Advisory Council (AKSCLAC) and for his compassionate programmes to the less privileged persons in the State.”

The retirement Thanksgiving Service was also utilized to present 10 books authored by the celebrator. One of the books, ‘Bold Women Can Lead The World, ‘ was dedicated in honour of the memory of the late first lady’s vision. Among others, the book acknowledges the doggedness of the late Governor’s wife in fighting for the liberation of the girl child from subjugation and inhuman treatment by the society. “The book, Bold Women Can Lead the World is in memory of the first lady’s efforts at liberating the girl child and empowering her for a world class leadership and exploits,” Ichulo said.

Setting the tone for the book launch ceremony, Rev. Ichulo Ichulo said: “This thanksgiving service is a time and a platform to appreciate God, the ancient of days for his goodness, mercies and providences all through my 38 years in God’s vineyard. It is time and a platform to unveil and launch 10 of my books. It is time and a platform to show my honour by dedicating one of the books, ‘Bold Women Can Lead The World’ to the ever green memory of our late mother and wife of our State Governor; Pastor Mrs. Patience Umo Eno, a great woman of peace, stability and the golden era.”

Other women acknowledged for leadership role and positive influence on the girl child are the deputy Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Senator Dr. Akon Eyakenyi and the chairman of Ibeno local government area, Deaconess Mrs. Glory Ekah Effiong.
