Unveiling The Ultra-Modern Worship Centre In Eket

Twenty years ago when Prophet Dr. Williams Mbuk began what was then known as a prayer fellowship in Eket, he didn’t quite see fully what it was to going to culminate into. His passion then was about seeing people growing spiritually and enjoying a daily life of victory over life’s many challenges. But surprisingly, the fewer persons he had reached began to enlarge, drawing more commitment and resources from him, as he would hold these fellowship meetings weekly.
Starting a church wasn’t his goal but ten years after, all structures for the fellowship to morph into a full-fledged church were set, making it more compelling, even as it became clearer that God wanted him to engage in full pastoral leadership and serve the people more than when he was leading an interdenominational prayer fellowship on Mondays.
For Prophet Dr. Williams Mbuk, his life appears to move up higher each time the years roll into a decade. The two decades of his life in ministry have experienced unprecedented lifting; people who were with him like those with David in the cave Adullam, have now become men of high worth.
Beginning a new decade comes with a big one – the unveiling of an ultra-modern worship facilities for the Victorious Family Int’l Worship Centre, Eket. What makes this staggering achievement even sweeter is that the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno, will inaugurate the church building during the Good Friday service on 18th April, 2025.

All roads lead to the oil city of Eket for the inauguration and dedication of this beautiful edifice.
The building is an all-inclusive structure with the main worship auditoriums located in the ground and first floors, while office facilities for personnel, pastors court, the office of the senior pastor and spouse, in the second floor of the building.
There are others relevant facilities for guests’ comfort, front desk, the prayer room and conference facility are all available. The building is purpose-built to meet the need of the 21st century worship arena. The building design has responded to the power issues of the country, as a fully solar-powered installations would supply 24 hour electricity.
This glorious accomplishment didn’t come easy, it has taken hard labour to build membership capacities for twenty years now, repositioning man y of them to become supportive of the vision.
Said Prophet Dr. Williams Mbuk: “God said to me, groom the people painstakingly, go through tough times with them; this is why our vision is to bring men to know God, to know who they are and who they are in God.
We make men here to understand God for themselves and exercise their faith in God. Faith is the fulcrum of this ministry, everything we have ever done is by faith. Though I’m a prophet by calling, but we have to exercise faith in God for what we have become today. Over the years, we have continued to exercise that faith, and we’ve seen the members grow from nothing to something.
I mean when we started, some of them who had nothing, who were zero are doing very well. You can call for half a million now and they bring it. So God is actually working; but it has been a continuous teaching, talking-to and mentoring. Ours is far beyond just running a Church, we reach out to those in need and all that. God has instructed me to run a model of ministry that Jesus ran, which is you preach to the people and feed them. So, it has been hectic, our welfare department is very active in this place because we feed people a lot. So, this is who we are.”
