How He Survives His Kidnapper’s Cruelties For Two Weeks, HE WAS TO STARVE TO DEATH

The story of the abduction and cruel treatment he received for 12 days and 12 nights in the hands of his abductors who whisked him away from his residence in Ibesikpo-Asutan in 2010, is a story of a man who saw death but merciful hands of the compassionate God intervened. Their intention was to starve him to death, as he was denied water and food throughout his ordeal.

Worst still he was tied naked to a tree and left to bleed from numerous wounds he sustained from beatings with cutlasses that inflicted several lacerations on his body or injuries inflicted on his hips and legs when he was tortured.

Hanging there in that dark lonely forest, those who kidnapped him revealed to him that they were instructed to let him remain without food, water and treatment of any form, to hasten his death.
But the more his tormentors dealt blows on him, the more renewed was his inner strength. Great grace was at work in his life. Today, the marks of those cruel treatment are a reminder that miracles of divine deliverance still happen.

Bishop Mike Eduok’s faith has grown so strong that he is today a bundle of encouragement to the afflicted, the oppressed and the hopeless.
You cannot spend a minute with him without feeling the warmth, love and enthusiasm of someone whose heart is sold out for God and the kingdom.

We are here for a covenant with greater promise. This message focuses on the faith of God’s elect and the acknowledgement of the truth of eternal life which God promised before time began and in this day made manifest and we are a living testimony today.

In 2 Timothy 1: 9, the Bible says, Who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not because of what we have done but because of His purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ before time began.
In Zechariah 12:1, the Bible says, the burden of the word of the Lord, the Lord whose strength laid the foundation of the earth and formed the spirit of man within him. Your Excellency, there are three creatures that existed but God was not created, He created all.

He was before time began, So all prophecies existed before time began. Before time began, God was; after time began, God has been; today, God is and God will ever be. The Bible says, Heaven and earth will pass away but none of the Word of God will pass unfulfilled. In John 1:1 the Bible says, in the beginning was the Word, So the Word is God. If the Word is God, the Word created, the Word is the Grace. If the Word is the grace of God, whatever God said shall be, will be.

Who are you, great mountain that can stand against the Word of God? Your Excellency, not to worry, God is with you. If God called you, you have passed through series of mountains that could have stopped you, but because of the Word of God, none has stopped you and none will stop you.
I pray and I place a demand on God to grant the priests to be clothed with salvation.

To also grant Akwa Ibom State to be clothed with salvation. Salvation I’m talking about is God Himself expressing Himself in us. It was the biggest mystery of Godliness that God became man. May God express Himself in us, May we find expression of God in ourselves, May you find expression of God.
When He became man, He became man so that He will die for man and redeem man from effect of Egypt and Babylon.

What is that effect? Anything that is done, any system that is established without God… remember Babylon? It was dethroned because it was without God. Every effect of Babylon or Egypt in Akwa Ibom State would be dethroned and must be dethroned because the Lord God has spoken. Hallelujah.

The theme today is Mountain Conquering Grace, Acts 20:32 says: And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.
I commend you to God and the work of His grace…, otherwise you can say the work of His power, you can also say the work of God, you can as well say God Himself.

2 Timothy 1:9 says: Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began.
God did not choose you because you have done anything good or bad. Just as He created, stretched out the heavens, laid the foundation of the earth and formed the spirit of man within Him .God made one man and multiplied the man. Why? For His purpose, God has a universal purpose, a global purpose.

In Haggai 2 He says, For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea. He needed to do it through people, He needed to do it through a man. He began with Adam, and Adam failed because of self will, we should not fail because of our self-will. Because our validity in the earth is solely based on our relationship with God, and what is that relationship? Obedience to His command. When you obey Him He will be with you, when you obey Him you will win, when you obey Him you will overcome, no mountain will stand before you.

A woman needed the sperm of a man to be pregnant, but because of the Word of God, a virgin shall be pregnant and shall bring forth a child, that protocol was broken, that mountain was broken. Remember when the angel went to Mary and told Mary, you are a wonderful woman… What is happening? What kind of salutation is that?

He said because something new is happening in your life, a child is going to be birthed that has no biological father. How can that be? The spirit! What is the spirit? The grace, Mountain conquering grace, it breaks protocols, It breaks barriers, It breaks hindrances, It breaks excuses, It breaks traditions.
Remember according to Revelation 5:1-5, And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals.

And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof? And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon.
And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon. And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.

Why I’m so excited about this? In heaven nobody, on earth nobody, beneath the earth nobody. And somebody came, the Lion of the Tribe of Judah. That is why in verse 9 of that Revelation 5, it says; And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation.

Your Excellency, If your tribe is your problem you have been redeemed, If marriage has been your problem, you have been redeemed. You have redeemed us from every tribe, every city in order to make us priests and kings and we will reign forever. The power you have, the grace you have, the authority you have, …, there is something I call the faith of God’s elect.
If he has elected you, you will excel, If he has elected you, you will succeed.

1 Peter 1: 2 says, you have been elected through the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied. He knew that you will obey him, so he called you.

Remember the other day when he was going to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah, He said will I hide anything from Abraham? Seeing that he had the capacity to bring up his children in the godly way with the full knowledge of God unto obedience.
He passed you through a spiritual scrutiny to establish his purpose, not because of you Your Excellency, do not trouble yourself, for He who called you will fight your battle,
In fact he is already fighting your battle.

Remember that your team are called to accompany you to excel, if they work against you they are working against themselves. Even the priests, if they work against you they are working against themselves because we are co-partners in the calling of God.
Only that in the case of Akwa Ibom State, you are the chief custodian of the purposes of God in this land for now and God has put in your heart this issue of Arise agenda.

What is the meaning of Arise? To rise, to build that which has been pre-planned, pre-ordered, pre-determined by God before time began.
Nobody can stop it, you know nobody can stop it, you can’t stop it, even God because he doesn’t repent of his calling. God cannot even stop it, Satan cannot stop it, and nobody can; that is the calling; that is what you are to do, develop God’s faith for God’s elect. God has elected you, God has purposed you, God has arranged you, I don’t even know the end. We thank God for getting us again unto himself, we are now of God.

All I need to do now is to look unto God to accomplish his purpose. Jesus was determined, He said, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.
The focus is: What does God wants you to do? and God is also going to bring you people. We have a lot of people that God will bring to you, you have a lot of people around you, all these men and women you see no matter how they look, there are good.

When they are sanctified by the Spirit of God, they are going to come out very bright, sanctified, perfect and meant for the master’s use, all of them here and the rest that shall come from afar, they are for you, for your use. We are all instruments in the hand of a man who is an instrument in the hand of God. Grace be multiplied to you, peace be multiplied to you, and victory be multiplied to you. Great grace be for you and on you forever and forever. Amen. In Jesus’ Name.
