IBOM DEEP SEAPORT PRELATE ISAIAH ISSONG SEEKS MORESUPPORTS FOR PASTOR UMO ENO – Prays for new NUJ leadership in A’Ibom

More supports have been canvassed for the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno for the completion of Ibom Deep Seaport project during the lifetime of this administration. This appeal was made by the President-General of Fathers in Faith for Good Governance, Prelate Prof. Isaiah Issong at the weekend in Uyo.
Speaking to a cross section of leaders of Fathers in Faith for Governance, the spiritual father affirmed that he was certain that the Governor, given his sincerity and dogged fight for the development and welfare of Akwa Ibomites, was prepared to ensure that the seaport operations come full steam before he leaves office.
He said: “Fathers in Faith for Good Governance heartily commends Governor Eno’s bold advancement of the Ibom Deep Sea Port initiative. In March 2025, he commissioned technical meetings, consulted the master planners (Dar Al-Handasar Ltd.), and directed the swift delivery of a 7 km access road to the Industrial City in Mbo LGA, targeting completion before May 29, 2025. The groundbreaking of City Gate, Sales Centre, and container terminal is scheduled for May 2025, with full operations projected from 2027.”
Citing one of the bold moves of the governor towards courting federal government support for the full realization of the seaport project, he said: “Additionally, Governor Eno personally led a high-powered, cross-party delegation to Abuja to seek the support of President Bola Tinubu, affirming the port’s national and regional significance.”
Reechoing the President’s determination to partner Akwa Ibom State Government in the completion of the deep sea port project, he called on church leaders not to relent in prayers for the Governor Umo Eno and President Tinubu in order for God to use them immensely to actualize the Akwa Ibom dream of seeing the port commence full operations.

Acknowledging several projects the Governor has embarked upon in touching the grassroots, Prelate Issong opined that by impacting every spectrum of the state, the Governor has restored hopes of Akwa Ibomites for a better future.
“As one who has watched closely and admired keenly, I affirm: Governor Umo Eno is not only delivering tangible infrastructure but also restoring hope, unity, and dignity to Akwa Ibom’s people,” he said and added that the Governor is a “Christian statesman, navigating governance with a shepherd’s humility and wisdom.”
He particularly praised the Governor for ensuing peaceful cohesion in the State’s political landscape by the uniting all parties for the purpose of transformation of Akwa Ibom State. His words: “Under his watch, political divisions are being healed, progress is being accelerated, and God’s agenda for our state is unfolding.
Akwa Ibomites are elated to affirm and celebrate the transformative leadership of His Excellency, Pastor Umo Bassey Eno, PhD, Governor of Akwa Ibom State, under the guiding inspiration of the Body of Christ.”
He further reiterated his position that the Governor is a God sent restorer to Akwa Ibomites. “We declare with joy that the ARISE Agenda is God’s instrument in the hands of a visionary and godly leader. We pledge our prayers, continued support, and honest counsel as he charts the next phase of development for our beloved State. Truly, God has placed a Daniel among us, a man after His own heart, and the fruits are visible for all to see. Shalom to your entire administration for the years ahead!
In another development, Prelate Prof. Isaiah Issong lead leaders of Fathers in Fath for Good Governance to pray for newly elected chairman of Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), Akwa Ibom State chapter. Before the elections on Saturday August 2, Comrade Nsibiet John had led his team to seek God’s favour for the election, pledging to use his position, when elected, to seek for the welfare of journalist in the State.
Speaking on behalf of the Christian fathers at the occasion, Prelate Prof. Issong assured Nsibiet John of God’s favour for his victory at the election and prayed for the team. Quest Inspirational Magazine, who was at the elections, reports the overwhelming victory of Comrade Nsibiet John and all members of his team who paid visit to the spiritual fathers.
