More Garlands For Archbishop Emmah Isong,  As University of Calabar, PFN Honour Him

This is another season of felicitations for Archbishop Dr. Emmah Gospel Isong, as garlands continue to decorate his neck like an ornament of grace. Ever since his archbishopric consecration last October, honours have been knocking on his door.
The latest came from his alma mater, the University of Calabar which has recognized the spiritual impact the archbishop in shaping the spiritual and socio-economic climate of the entire Cross River State and conferred on him the Religious Affairs Ambassadorial Award.

The recognition, according to Unical management, is a tribute to Archbishop Isong’s unwavering commitment to spiritual leadership and his profound impact on humanity. According to the University, the award is a reaffirmation of the university’s guiding principle; Knowledge for Service which Emmah Isong has exemplified throughout his ministerial journey.

Presenting the award at the City of Testimonies, headquarters of Christian Central Chapel International, Ikot Ene-Obong, 8 Miles, Calabar, Vice Chancellor Prof. Florence Obi, represented by the Dean of the College of Graduate Studies and Chairman of the Unical at 50 Anniversary Committee, Prof. Eyong Ubana, described the cleric’s contributions as a beacon of the values the institution holds dear.
“We are excited that the knowledge you gained from the University you have used for service to humanity,” Prof. Obi stated.

“One of the things we have done during this 50th Anniversary is to give honour to our alumni who have flown the flag of the institution. You are a shining light, carrying the emblem of our great university to the ends of the earth.”
Speaking further, Prof. Ubana, accompanied by the Executive Secretary of the Unical NUGA Games, Dr. Dorn Cklaimz Enamhe, emphasised that Archbishop Isong’s teachings and values align perfectly with the ethos of the university.

In his response, Archbishop Dr. Emmah Isong, visibly elated by the honour, expressed gratitude to the management of his alma mater, assuring that the award would serve as renewed motivation to continue rendering selfless service to humanity.
“I am deeply honoured,” he said. “This recognition will inspire me to serve even more passionately, to uplift lives, and to continue being a worthy ambassador of our great university.”

Just last week, news of his appointment as the South South National Vice President, Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, PFN, elicited spontaneous jubilation, with many pouring accolades on Archbishop Emmah Isong for his rise to prominence in kingdom leadership at the national level. The Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno lauded the appointment of the archbishop by PFN.

In his message of congratulations, Pastor Umo Eno stated that he has no doubt that Archbishop Isong, “will live up to the expectations of the office and raise more strongholds against the forces of darkness and win more souls for the Kingdom of God, while strengthening the growth of the Pentecostal community within the Body of Christ.”

“We salute your passion for spreading the word of God, your organizational abilities which have seen you being moved from the position of Publicity Secretary to the Vice President of the South South. “We wish you success in your new position”.

Dr. Sylvanus Ukafa, the national publicity secretary of PFN, also acknowledged the leadership prowess of Archbishop Isong, which has earned him the higher office in the PFN. Ukafia is confident Archbishop Emmah Isong will bring his wealth of knowledge and gifts to advance the cause of the kingdom of God for the good of humanity.
