Pastor Umo Eno Applauds Rev. Dr. Sylvia Imoh

How God Uses Her To Liberate Communities From Idol Worship
The Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno, has eulogized Rev’d Dr. Sylvia Imoh for her strong demonstration of faith, commitment to vision and display of resilience in the cause of her 35 years of ministry.
The Governor made this commendation during the 34th convention and thanksgiving celebration of Humility Glory Mission Church on Sunday March 30, 2025 at the expansive interdenominational prayer camp built by her for spiritual retreats and refresh by Churches at Nsit Ibom Local Government Area located around the Kaduna Junction.
The Governor who attended the occasion alongside members of the State Executive Council and other political leaders, lauded Dr. Sylvia Imoh’s vision and tenacity to the call to serve the kingdom and humanity through the ministry of prayer and the Word of God.
Earlier, Rev. Dr. Sylvia Imoh had exhibited profound gratitude for the presence of the Governor and members of the State Executive Council.
Her words: “I want to thank you, my Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, PhD, for honouring this invitation. And I was shaken when my local government area chairman told me yesterday that the whole state is coming to this bush. I said, “Ah, where will they pass? We have bamboo trees everywhere.” I want to thank all the dignitaries; from the Speaker, the Head of Service, the PDP Chairman, the Secretary to the State Government. I want to thank each and every one of us for being willing to come and enjoy the fresh air from the Bamboo Trees. Thank you.”
The occasion will remain evergreen in the annals of the ministry which has made great impact across regions, particularly in liberating rural communities from idolatries and heathenism.
On that Sunday morning, a large crowd of enthusiastic worshippers thronged the prayer camp to celebrate the vision that has made positive impact on the people and communities. Given the very quiet and humble disposition of this visionary clergy woman, not many ever imagined the kind of capacity God has endowed her with in doing mighty things in the Spirit but a walk into the prayer camp premises will awash you with palpable presence of God.
Rev. Dr. Sylvia Imoh, an educationist par excellence, operates in several dimensions in ministry; she’s either an apostle, a prophet, a teacher or an evangelist, with gifts in pastoral ministry.
Quest Inspirational editor attended the anniversary occasion and shares in these excerpts the vision, thoughts and works of Rev. Dr. Sylvia Imoh’s 35 years strides in ministry.

A difficult decision to make
In 2012, God told me to build a prayer camp, I talked about it, I prayed, I did not know where to start, but God said, “I have told you, go back to your State, Akwa Ibom. It’s difficult to come back to your state to start something; some people may not understand.
Having grown up outside and your lifestyle is different, the cultures are different, and then you may have to come and learn your language all over again; it wasn’t really easy, because you may have been established outside your state. For example, I have at least three schools; two in Lagos and two in Ogun state; then you ask yourself – How do I move all these things, including other assets and then go back to my State and start all afresh?
That aspect of relationship with God is not easy to obey, and that is why each time I went back to Abraham, I gave him kudos. When God told him, ‘Leave your people, leave your nation, and go to where I will show you.’ God did not tell him where he was going to, nobody told him and if you share it with anybody, the first reaction you will have is a discouragement.
The next level of discouragement I had was about the vision to build a prayer camp; for me it was like; ‘God, this vision you are giving me is bigger than a woman.’ At times you are made to go back into your inner room and cry again and say, God, are you sure? Since you have a close relationship with God and you know when he speaks, you know his voice, you cannot doubt who is talking. And that will push you out against all odds. To cut the long story short, with all the water that has passed under the bridge, here we are – fulfilling that dream.
So, how did I start my dream? I came to Akwa Ibom, and bought land in different places. But God told me, ‘that’s not what I told you to do.’ He said He told me to come and establish a church.
A demon-bulldozer
There’s no territory I go into that forces of darkness ever survive; I have done village liberations, that is why we have Churches in Delta State. There is a particular village there, when I went to that village, all the Churches that came to that village ended up in problems – either the pastor goes mental or something bad happens. That village has some rich people but they cannot build houses in there. If they build in there, once it gets to the middle level, they may not survive.

It was jubilation galore as this grannie took the dance floor to showcase her joy before His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno
So, all those rich people chose to build in the neighbouring villages and abandon their village. One of them worshipped with us in Lagos and when she told me about these things, I told her, I always like to test my God where powers are strong to see which one is stronger. We went to that village, by tradition, women don’t enter the shrine, but we wanted to test power. We were invited to meet the elders in the shrine and I entered the shrine and met the elders. I was fasting; they gave me Fanta and I drank, I stayed there and had conversations with them.
And I told them that there is a power that is stronger than every other power and I was there to represent that power. When I entered the shrine and I came out unscathed, all the elders and chiefs decided to join the Church. I started burning shrines in the village, I sanctified the village, and as I’m talking now, that village has different storey buildings now. You can build there now, the indigenes are returning to their village and are living there.

They gave me a title that I can’t pronounce. They don’t sell land in their place, so they gave me land for free; they gave me land for school, they gave us land for church and for my own personal house. I cannot talk about all of them today.
Also I can recall in another village still in Delta state, that I went all alone without anybody and I was nearly eaten raw; that is a story for another day. There, I met a woman that was pregnant for 18 months, she doesn’t sleep either in the day or night but the moment I got there, that morning she gave birth to a baby boy and to our surprise, the baby was born with teeth already.
In my second revival, there was a child that was like a vegetable – he suffered from cerebral palsy and can neither sit nor crawl. I did not heal the child, I was afraid. The parents dumped that sick child with the grandmother and travelled to town. I was holding a crusade there, where I also destroyed the grandmother’s shrine; other miracles took place there.
But when I was about to leave, the old woman asked me what has happened to her grandchild that he wasn’t healed. Church, I was afraid because of the condition of that child, I did every other deliverance for others but I didn’t want to pray for that child, I tried to dodge the old woman.
But on the last day of the crusade, she came to the altar and stood before me with the child in her hands. What I did was to pray for that child as the last ministration and as I prayed, I entered the car and said to myself, ‘At least I’m going back and she won’t see me anymore.’

Three months after, the pastor in the village called me that the child I prayed for stood up one afternoon and started walking. That is why I say I did not heal him because I was full of fear. The only thing I did was to tie God’s hands to the problem, I told God, I burnt the grandmother’s juju shrine, ‘God, it’s now time for you to prove to the woman whether Juju is higher or you are higher, for me I’m gone.’ And God answered!
In 2017, God told me, ‘Go back to Akwa Ibom State.’ Someone may say, ‘Is it not because your brother was the Governor then? No, I was told to come back to Akwa Ibom even before my brother became the Governor. So, I was simply obeying God. It has not been easy, but I just came back, I sold my assets in Lagos and brought the money to this land. We started by buying little by little from individuals and families. Until today, God was gracious enough to give us grace to buy some land even here where we are now for a prayer camp ground.
The vision is not for Humility Glory Mission Church, He told me to build camp for the body of Christ. And that is why we pulled all our resources from what we have invested for over 40 years in foreign lands and pulled them together here. My members, my pastors testified that every time I talk to them, I tell them I don’t pay tithe, I pay all. So we pull all the resources of over 40 years and bring them to Akwa Ibom State and that is why you are sitting here today in this place called Prayer Camp – it is for the entire body of Christ not Humility Glory Mission Church.

Chapels for Churches in the prayer camp
Inside the prayer camp, you will see hostels, we also have smaller chapels and we are hoping to build more chapels. The reason for building chapels inside this prayer camp is because different churches are free to hold their programmes here simultaneously. So, there is a chapel available for every church and they will be no conflict.
Individuals are free to come in here, if you don’t want to sleep in the hostel, just come in, walk in, sit anywhere, you will go back with a testimony. I will not mention the name of this person because I did not get her permission to give this testimony. The devil wanted to attack her with a breast cancer, she came here and said, I know there’s the presence of God in this land because prayer has gone up here. She felt if the soil of this place would touch her breast, cancer would go. She just picked the sand and rub it on the breast by faith, and cancer disappeared.
So the prayer Camp is not for Humility Glory Mission; I want us to understand that any church is free to come, provided it is Godly, provided it is not fake and what you are coming to do is prayer unto the glory of God; you are free, for now there is no fee attached. So any churches can use the place.
In fact I did not expect the Governor to accept this invite; when I prayed about it, I had a witness in my spirit that God chose to use it as an avenue to let others know that there is a place like this. So my Governor, thank you for the free adverts. And May God also advertise you before His angels.

We are here just to give God all the glory for 35 years of this ministry. We are expecting you to come and pray here anytime. We have a prayer box, if you come and don’t see anybody and you have a prayer request, you are free to drop it in the prayer box, it is locked, nobody will read it. We will pray over your prayer request and God will visit them one by one with testimonies following.
So thank you so much my distinguished ladies and gentlemen for coming to support and to advertise this vision of God. The vision is enormous, it’s not only prayers, there are other things that God told us to bring in and by God’s grace when God orders for a thing, He pays for it.
God gave us connection to a partner in US who is the head of getting most of the equipment we are having. I want you to know if you come here to pray, you don’t need to go back home for your gym, we have a complete set of gym equipment for your exercise.

You Are Unstoppable!
In this ministry, I wait on God daily, weekly, monthly; I’m not trying to impress you. Our members can tell you we have a day in the week we pray, not because Governor Umo Eno is on the throne, we pray for the governments of Akwa Ibom State every Wednesday at 6 am till 8am. Each time we wait on God, He gives us a word and we all experienced the authenticity of these words, and He is faithful to fulfil all of them.
In this year’s anniversary, God gave us this word, “You Are Unstoppable!” I speak into your life you are unstoppable; there is nothing that is big enough to stop you. In the book of Nehemiah 2:18 reads, “Then I told them of the hand of my God which was good upon me; as also the king’s words that he had spoken unto me. And they said, Let us rise up and build. So they strengthened their hands for this good work”.
I am declaring that when the hand of God is upon you, there is no way you can be a failure. If God is for us, who can be against us? The story here is about Nehemiah when he came back to build the wall of Jerusalem. There were Sanballat, Tobiah and the rest who tried to stop him.
Let me let you know that if you are reasonable, you will have opposition, if you don’t have opposition, know that you are a nonentity. So having opposition is not a bad thing but succumbing to opposition is what is bad. The God we serve is higher than the opposition. So, all you need to do is to allow the hand of God to be upon your life. When the hand of God is upon your life, God will use opposition for your promotion. After the problem comes the victory, you will now have victory.
Don’t pray for victory without a problem, because the victory comes as a result of a problem. The scripture says, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. We fail because we look at people’s faces. We are not supposed to look at people’s faces, we are supposed to look at Jesus. If Nehemiah succeeded, you will succeed. If Tobias and Sanballat succeeded in bringing Nehemiah down, then your enemies will succeed but if they didn’t succeed, your enemies will not succeed Amen.
Numbers 23:20 says: “Behold, I have received a commandment to bless…” Today I prophesy, every voice that rises against you in open or in secret, will turn around and bless you. Every person in your office, privately or openly, that wants to walk against you, will turn around and bless you. Every person that wants to use words, to bring you down, will promote you because you are unstoppable. Amen!
