Bishop Nick Iheanacho is one endtime prophetic teacher of the Word, with keen insight into spiritual significance of Biblical numbers and their implications on believers and the nation. He has authored several books, including The Mystery of Number 12. He explains why Akwa Ibom at 38 is of great spiritual importance to her future. Excerpts

Akwa Ibom has turned 38. This seems to be very significant. Going by the rule of numbers: what does this mean to Akwa Ibom?

Let me begin by saying, Akwa Ibom Arise, shine, for your light has come! This is one state in Nigeria that God loves so much and has blessed it with leaders who have outstanding leadership skills. So, I look at the 38 years from the spiritual standpoint. If you look at the word 38 in the Bible, it is stated as 30 and 8 years. So, we see the 30 and the 8, but putting them together, like in the story of John 5, a pool called Bethesda, you will discover what happened there: at the 38th year, that man was set free. I don’t think it’s a coincidence for that thing to happen at the 38th year of his life. If you look at it closely, 30 is the number of manifestation, the number of maturity, the number of workability.

So if you look at this scripture in Genesis 41:45, “And Joseph was thirty years old when he stood before Pharaoh king of Egypt. And Joseph went out from the presence of Pharaoh, and went throughout all the land of Egypt” You know why? Because that is the age! In Luke 3:23 “And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli,”.

So basically, in coming to 30, he was manifesting to the world, that’s why he did the job 3 years and left. Remember Numbers chapter 4:1-3, says, “count them, select only those who are 30 years, and put them to the service of God.” In those days, you cannot be a pastor until you are 30. So if you look at the Bible, putting them differently, 30 and 8 – it is trying to show us something; they are different numbers put together. The mystery behind the numbers are also different, by looking at Acts 9: 32-33. “And it came to pass, as Peter passed throughout all quarters, he came down also to the saints which dwelt at Lydda. And there he found a certain man named Æneas, which had kept his bed eight years, and was sick of the palsy.”

Acts 9:34 “And Peter said unto him, Æneas, Jesus Christ maketh thee whole: arise, and make thy bed. And he arose immediately.”

This is what Jesus did at the pool of Bethsaida too, Peter did what Jesus did at the pool of Bethsaida. He said to the impotent man, this is the end of this. I want to say to Akwa Ibom people, that these 38 years, everything that is down, will Arise. Everything that is sick, everything that the enemy has put down in this city, the Lord has delivered. So, it will be the year of healing the land. This 38 years, bringing the word, 30 is the year of manifestation. When Akwa Ibom celebrated 30, I said this in the church, I said this is the year that Akwa Ibom will be made manifest.

So in the last 8 years, there is still glory, honour and power everywhere. Now, we have covenant number 8, which is also the covenant number of healing, that’s why we circumcise our children every 8 days. So, this 8 years is a covenant number; it’s for healing and purification, 30 and 8 in English is 38 but in the Hebrew, it is 30 and 8. Once you pass the first 10 numbers, and then 20, you know, it must be 20 and something, it can’t be 21, it’s 20 and 1 because that’s the Hebrew’s number.

So, in this 30 and 8, the 30 here stands for manifestation in this season, it is already happening. The 8 here is a number of healing. So, that’s why 38 years, that man was at the pool of Bethesda and that is why everybody who gets to the age of 30 is ready for service.

If you read that, Numbers 4:1-3, “And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying, Take the sum of the sons of Kohath from among the sons of Levi, after their families, by the house of their fathers, from thirty years old and upward even until fifty years old, all that enter into the host, to do the work in the tabernacle of the congregation.” So, from 30 years old, that’s why Jesus began his ministry at about 30, they allow him to join the ministry. John the Baptist at 30 was shown to the world. So, all of them, 30, and then 30 and 8 put together is a great significance to the land of Akwa Ibom State and the celebration. So, long live Nigeria, long live Akwa Ibom State, long live, our governor.

So, that means at 38, whatever was wrong with Akwa Ibom will received healing. And it’s so significant that at 38, a Pastor too is occupying the seat of governance. That’s why when Akwa Ibom reached 30, pastors and deacons and ministers took over the pulpit. They took over the government pulpit without them knowing the history behind it and from that time till date, manifestation is still going on, so many things are happening here in this year. God  will heal the land.
