FERMA BOSS COMMISERATES GOVERNOR ENO OVER WIFE’S DEMISE, PRESENTS SCORECARD OF ACHIEVEMENTS

As huge crowd of dignitaries from all over the world gathered at Ikot Ekpene Udo, Nsit Ubium LGA, on 29th November, 2024 to bid Pastor Mrs. Patience Eno farewell, one of the organizations that supported the crowd control and management, was Federal Emergency Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA), Akwa Ibom State office, led by Engr. Celestine Chibuzo Udemba, who also commiserated Pastor Umo Eno for the painful loss of his dear wife.

The agency, which has shown impressive performance in federal road maintenance and repair in Akwa Ibom, in his scorecard, listed numerous projects executed and ongoing.
According to FERMA, Akwa Ibom State representative, Engr. Celestine Chibuzo Udemba, the agency which only undertakes repairs and maintenance of federal roads, said the agency has lived up to the goal of its founding. The total collapse of a section of Calabar Itu road was prevented by the agency, which mobilized its resources to ensure the road is passable by both vehicles and pedestrian.

FERMA is still on top of its game, maintaining the road till the reconstruction work by Federal Ministry of Works commences.
In an interview with our correspondent, Engr Celestine Chibuzo Udemba presented the scorecard of its performance so far in Akwa Ibom State.
The agency has repaired the carriageway sections and pothole patching along Into Ekpene – Ariam Road in Akwa Ibom State between Km.16+000 – Km.22+000.

It embarked on special maintenance repairs of road and reinstatement of washout at Km.58+100 (Afaha) along Old – Itu-Parallel Road in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State capital.
It also undertook the emergency provision of concrete box culvert, concrete lines drain and carriageway repairs between Ch.10+800 – Ch.11+600 along Ete – Abak Road in Akwa Ibom State.

Next repairs carried out by FERMA, Akwa Ibom State, is desilting of concrete lined drain and carriageway; it repaired roads along Ikot Oku Ikono, Uyo – Itu Road in Akwa Ibom State between Km.0+000 – Km.21+000.
FERMA also conducted special maintenance repairs of roads and Reinstatement of Washout at Km.58+100 (Afaha) along Old – Itu-Parallel Road in Akwa Ibom State, and as well undertook the desilting of concrete lined drain and carriageway repairs along Ikot Oku Ikono, Uyo – Itu Road in Akwa Ibom State between Km 0+000 – Km.21+000.
