In life, where there is no growth, there will be no development. Growth is synonymous with progress. Any person who has not developed himself will struggle psychologically, spiritually, financially and mentally.
It is an act of irresponsibility and personal carelessness to be alive and not load yourself with cutting edge knowledge that will fortify you in this competitive economy. The more you develop yourself; the more systems will herald your greatness by publicly honoring you. Don’t die a-nobody; a mediocre; a local champion, and a bench warmer. You are wired with the capacity for more! Herbert Otto said, “Change and growth take place when a person has risked himself and dares to become involved with experimenting with his own life.” It is not hard to lead, just make yourself an example and people will follow.
Self-development is a must for people in leadership cadre in organizations whether local or international. Productivity will be an impossible task when self is not helped, assisted, developed, prepared and empowered. Self development is a must if lethargy, foolishness and rascality must be tackled. Develop content, develop charisma, develop capacity, develop competence, develop your sense of technological awareness and be consistent in giving out values and you will always be relevant.

That is why self-development is a panacea for effective and sustainable governance. Anytime there is a problem, there is what to be done for it to be reduced or completely eliminated. Self-development is self- investment, self-equipment and self-government. Gil Eagles said, “If you want to be successful, you must be willing to be uncomfortable. Self – development has a price tag, you must be uncomfortable for a while, if you must be strategically positioned in the future. Education is a life time journey, its starts with schooling. However, in schooling you must learn to pay attention because attention is the price for academic success.
Education is supposed to give you the capacity to manage the affairs of your life and environment. The biggest school in the world is the school of personal development; where you take responsibility for your own progress and evolution.
You have a responsibility to determine how far you want to go. Put yourself under pressure to become the best you’ve always desire to be. You can’t expect the best in the future when you are putting in nothing in the present. Put your brain under pressure until sense begins to answer. Push yourself until you become a solution provider that cannot be ignored. The application of knowledge is what brings profitability and visibility. When you develop yourself people see it as a privilege to be identified with you.

Self-development is a destiny defining decision that gives you the clarity and precision to navigate the complex tensions of life, purpose, leadership and legacy. Self-development is putting yourself and career at the cutting edge. It is becoming better than your yesterday. Self-development is becoming better than your teachers. Self-development is what you need to exercise your innate ability for global visibility and profitability. Self-development is what gives credence to your personality. Self-development is the ability to fine-tune your character, creativity and passion for global patronage. Self-development is the ability to offer premium service on a global stage. Self-Development is living above the average. Self-development is repositioning for flight. Self-Development is understanding and preserving human dignity. It is dignifying when you realise that begging is a bad attitude.
