VENERABLE DAVID E. UDONSEK CONSECRATED BISHOP OF CHRIST ARMY CHURCH GBC

The leadership cadre of the kingdom of God on earth has been bolstered with the consecration of Dr. David E. Udonsek, as the Bishop of Christ Army Church GBC. The consecration events which took place on Sunday 21st September, 2025 at the headquarters of the Church at Bile Kingdom, Degema, Rivers State, was conducted by the Primate of Christ Army Church, GBC, His Eminence, the Most Rev’d Mark John Akpan.
The colourful but solemn consecration ceremony was a culmination of years of ministerial leadership impact of Dr. Udonsek, who utilized his call into ministry in winning souls, life-touching compassionate and community development services.
Bille Kingdom in Degema LGA, Rivers State came alive with jubilation and heartfelt thanksgiving as the Christ Army Church (GBC) Bille congregation witnessed the historic consecration of Ven. (Dr.) David E. Udonsek as the Bishop of the Akwa Ibom State Diocese of the church.
The solemn yet colorful ceremony, which commenced promptly at 10 a.m., was officiated by His Eminence, The Most Rev. Mark John Akpan, Primate of Christ Army Church (GBC), and assisted by His Grace, The Most Rev. Adokiye H. Fenibo (MTH), the Archbishop of the church.
In addition to Bishop Udonsek’s consecration, the event featured the induction of new deacons, the ordination of priests, the collation of canons, and the installation of archdeacons, key spiritual offices designed to uphold order and guide church policy in the Christ Army Church (GBC) worldwide.











The highlight of the sacred rite came during the oath-taking and formal signing by Bishop Udonsek, followed by the anointing of his head with oil and the offering of special prayers of guidance by the Headquarters Council. He was then presented with a Holy Bible, a bishopric staff, and vested with full bishopric regalia and accessories, symbols of authority and the commencement of his episcopal ministry. His induction and reception into the National Leaders Council of the Christ Army Church marked the final seal of his elevation.
The atmosphere was electrified with celebration as the congregation erupted in songs of praise and thanksgiving, glorifying God for blessing the Akwa Ibom Diocese with a new spiritual leader. Bishop Udonsek now occupies the third-highest office in the Christ Army Church (GBC) in Nigeria and the highest office within Akwa Ibom State, a milestone that drew admiration and joy from members and dignitaries present.
