WHEN DR. SAMUEL EFFIONG TOUCHES UYO

On the evening of Friday, July 25, 2025, the city of Uyo became the epicenter of a divine visitation as the July 2025 Edition of Uyo Night of the Spirit unfolded at the Je-Nissi Events Centre. Hosted by Apostle Dr. Samuel Efiong and Rev. Mrs. Grace Efiong, under the banner of GloryWorld International Gospel Centre (GIGC), the event drew worshippers from across the state and beyond, each one expectant for a personal encounter with God.

The atmosphere was supercharged from the very first moment, brimmed with the hunger for a divine encounter, and indeed, heaven answered. The worship experience was nothing short of electrifying from the first note of worship, the heavens opened. Powerful ministrations from anointed music ministers and various choirs stirred the atmosphere, releasing waves of worship and praise that melted the heavens and prepared the ground for the supernatural.
At the height of this charged atmosphere, God’s servant, Apostle Dr. Samuel Efiong, took the pulpit and preached with fiery unction on the subject, “The Move of the Spirit,” drawing his text from Genesis chapter one. The message passionately emphasized the necessity and power of the Holy Spirit in the life of a believer and in the church. Through vivid personal stories and biblical examples, he illustrated how the Spirit brings miracles, healing, and transformation, silencing mockers and validating the reality of God’s power. From a dramatic confrontation with a native doctor to testimonies of the dead being raised, to manifestations of gold dust and holy fire, every account underscored the tangible and transformative power of the Holy Spirit.
Apostle Efiong issued a clarion call for believers to seek a deeper hunger for God’s presence and a fresh outpouring of the Spirit, urging the church to cry out for divine fire, boldness, and revival. The central message rang clear: only the move of the Holy Spirit can distinguish Christianity, transform lives, and bring lasting change. Chains were broken, Callings were activated. Broken bodies were healed
And now, this fire is not just flickering, it’s spreading. GloryWorld International Gospel Centre is now fully planted in Uyo, signaling the start of a new apostolic move in the city.
