The Pray for Umo Eno campaign has surged in momentum, transforming into a full-fledged statewide movement as Christian youths across Akwa Ibom State rally in fervent intercession for the governor and the state’s development.

Following a successful virtual prayer phase, the campaign made a historic transition to physical gatherings, with Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District leading the charge on February 14 at Grooves Memorial Methodist Church. This inaugural session witnessed an outpouring of spiritual energy, as young believers gathered to uplift Governor Umo Eno in prayer.

At the helm of this initiative is Apostle (Barr.) Samuel Inyang, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Christian Youth Matters, who has continuously underscored the divine essence of Governor Umo Eno’s leadership.
“This is beyond politics. Governor Umo Eno is divinely anointed, and as we pray, we stand in alignment with God’s will for Akwa Ibom,” Apostle Inyang declared, reinforcing the campaign’s foundation in faith rather than political interests.
Also in attendance were prominent religious leaders, including ArchBishop Etim Udoekong and Special Assistant on Youth Mobilization, Evangelist Ubong Ituen, alongside a host of Church leaders. The gathering was marked by intense prayers, worship, and words of exhortation, further solidifying the movement’s spiritual depth.

With a groundswell of participation, the “Pray for Umo Eno” campaign is set to continue its journey across the state. The next major prayer convergence will take place in Eket Senatorial District on February 20, followed by the grand finale in Uyo Senatorial District on February 24. As the campaign gains traction, it has become more than just a call to prayer—it is evolving into a unifying force, strengthening faith and reinforcing Governor Umo Eno’s Arise Agenda in the hearts of Akwa Ibom’s Christian youth.
Will this unprecedented movement leave a lasting impact beyond its scheduled 30-day period? Many believe it has the potential to reshape spiritual and civic engagement in the state for years to come.
